CAA Tournament Preview originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

No conference in America has gone dealt with the challenges of playing a season during the coronavirus pandemic more than the Colonial Athletic Association.

The league played 51 of its 90 scheduled games, which was by far the lowest completion percentage among Division I college basketball conferences. Nevertheless, they've made it to their conference tournament and it's set to begin on Saturday afternoon.

Here's all the information you'll need to know to tune in and watch the action on the floor.

CAA TOURNAMENT 2021 PREVIEW:

In a season where every team's schedule was practically cut in half due to COVID-related cancellations, it hasn't been particularly easy to determine the definitive favorites for the postseason tournament. However, given that Northeastern has made the last three CAA championship games, it's probably a safe bet that they'll make a deep run if not win it all.

Among those expected to challenge for the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament are James Madison, who finished with the best regular-season record in the conference at 13-6, and the defending champion Hofstra Pride. Hofstra had its first NCAA tournament bid in nearly two decades taken away from them due to the COVID-19 pandemic last season, so they'll certainly be motivated to repeat their success from a year ago.

For the purpose of redemption, Hofstra will be the team to run through the tournament and retake their rightful place representing the CAA in March Madness.

PICK: No. 4 Hofstra
