Dallas Stars Celebrate Stanley Cup Final Berth With Epic Locker Room Rallying Cry

Stars goalie celebrates Stanley Cup berth with viral scream originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

Thanks in large part to goalie Anton Khudobin, the Dallas Stars took care of the Vegas Golden Knights in 5 games to advance to the Stanley Cup Final for the first time in 20 years. Plenty of reason to celebrate, and Western Conference champs did so in style.

A roar from the “Russian Machine” reminiscent of Alex Ovechkin celebrating the Capitals Stanley Cup Championship on the mall, but Khudobin and the Stars still have more work to do before they can truly celebrate like that.

Only in the lineup because their regular starter Ben Bishop is out due with an injury, Khudobin has stepped up in a big way and earned this viral moment with his play between the pipes. He’s now 12-6 this postseason with a 2.62 goals against average, stopping 34 of 36 shots faced in Monday night’s win.

Dallas now awaits their Stanley Cup Final opponent, which could be decided tonight as the Lightning have a chance to eliminate Barry Trotz and the Islanders in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Final.
