UVA Baseball Gets Dippin' Dots After Hilarious Pitcher Interview

Dippin' Dots sends UVA baseball ice cream originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

In order to help send his team to Super Regionals, Virginia closer Stephen Schoch had to battle temptation. A South Carolina fan offered him Dippin' Dots to blow the game.

He thought about it, decided to resist and ultimately closed the game out to give the Cavaliers a 3-2 win. Later that day, they beat Old Dominion to clinch a spot in the Super Regionals against Dallas Baptist.

Schoch then out-did himself after his save by talking about his thought process regarding his ice cream bribe

After this interview, Schoch became one of college baseball's newest great characters. Then he was rewarded for his ability not to take a bribe when Dippin' Dots sent him and his teammates a whole lot of ice cream.

However far Schoch helps the Cavaliers go this season, Virginia figured out a way to make Dippin' Dots a thing again.
