Ehrlich Joins D.C. Law Firm

It looks like Maryland’s former governor has a new gig.

Robert Ehrlich is joining King and Spalding, an international law firm. According to the company’s website, Ehrlich will be a “senior counsel in the firm’s government advocacy and public policy, which advises clients on a broad array of policy matters and their interactions with the federal government.”

He’ll be based out of the firm’s downtown D.C. office.

“Bob Ehrlich brings to King & Spalding incomparable insight and connections at the busy intersection of business and politics,” said Wick Sollers, managing partner.

Ehrlich, a Republican, became Maryland’s governor in 2002, but then lost his bid for re-election four years later. He made another unsuccessful run for the governor’s mansion last year.

Ehrlich also represented Maryland’s Second District in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1994 to 2002.

"King & Spalding has added a number of very talented lawyers and practice groups to the Washington office in the past few years, and I am pleased to be part of such a dynamic firm. I particularly look forward to helping grow the firm's government advocacy and public policy practice," Ehrlich said.
