“I’ve loved the Bond films since I was a kid. For me, they’re always about the expansiveness of cinema. The first Bond films set up infinite possibilities about the world they create. I’d love to do a Bond film," director Chris Nolan told the BBC at yesterday's London premiere of "Inception."
U.S. & World
The day's top national and international news.
The '007 franchise has been trapped inlegal limbo thanks to the financial woes at MGM, with the next film, starring Daniel Craig and to be directed by Sam Mendes, having been pronounced dead more than once.
Saying there won't be another Bond film is just stupid, of course. Even if MGM were literally swallowed whole by the fires of hell, someone would make another starring the iconic spy.
And if Mendes gets tired of waiting for the project to come together and Nolan isn't too busy making a third Batman or rescuing Superman, he would be the perfect choice to pick up the mantle.
