Delaware State Police have charged a teller and her fiancé with staging the robbery of the bank where she works.
On Nov. 23, a man approached the teller at a Wells Fargo Bank in Newark and demanded money, troopers said Thursday in a news release.
Police say the teller gave the man money, even though he did not display a weapon or imply that he was armed.
Investigators say after getting a description of a getaway car, they were able to identify a suspect and learned that he is engaged to the teller.
Thirty-year-old Toron Crocker and 26-year-old Christina Johnson, both of New Castle, where arrested without incident. They are both charged with felony theft, conspiracy and other offenses.
