Apple Releases New IPad Mini, IMac

Tech giant Apple announced it will release a new iPad Mini, iMac and other devices. Many of the new gadgets feature slimmer models with high quality screens.

Apple's new iPad mini weighs 0.68 pounds, 23 percent thinner than the old iPad. It will be priced at $329.

Apple took the wraps off a smaller iPad today, betting that a less expensive version of its tablet computer will help the company fend off competitors including Microsoft Corp., Inc. and Google Inc.
After winning fans with their 15-inch high resolution laptop with retina display, Apple unveiled the new skinnier 13-inch MacBook Pro with retina display.
The new MacBook Pro 13" is 20 percent thinner and and weighs only 3.6 pounds. It will be priced at $1,699.
The 13-inch MacBook with retina display contains 4 million pixels. This is nearly twice the number of pixels in an HD television. Users will be able to view and edit video in pixel-accurate 1080p and view fine details in images and video.

The new Apple iMac is its thinnest yet, with an edge that's just 5 millimeters thick. Apple managed to chop off 40 percent of its internal volume compared to its predecessor, weighing in eight pounds lighter.
