Missing 81-Year-Old Carroll County Woman Found Safe

Marie Louise Detweiler has been found safe, authorities said late Monday afternoon.


ORIGINAL STORY:

The Carroll County Sheriff's Office is searching for an 81-year-old Maryland woman who has been missing since Sunday afternoon. 

Marie Louise Detweiler was heading towards Westminster when she left her home on Day View Drive in Woodbine at 1 p.m. Sunday. 

Family members became concerned when she did not return when expected. Investigators say Detweiler's family tried to look for her, but were not successful.

Detweiler is 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. She has blue eyes, white hair and wears silver glasses. She was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt or jacket and blue jeans. 

The sheriff's office says she was driving a 2005 white Hyundai Elantra with Maryland tags 9AWX15.

A photo of Detweiler was not released.
