2 Men, 4 Dogs Killed in Manassas House Fire

A man, a 17-year-old boy and four dogs were killed in a Manassas, Virginia, house fire early Sunday morning.

Fire crews were called to the 10300 block of Lomond Drive around 12:30 a.m. They found two men inside the structure.

Officials said one person was pronounced dead at the scene while the other was transported to the hospital, where he later died. Four dogs were also found dead inside the burned home.

A short time later, police received a call about an injured man walking in the area of Manassas Mall. When officers arrived, they discovered the man was suffering from extensive burns to his body. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Police said the identities of the deceased men will be released when their identities are confirmed and next of kin notified. There is no word on a cause for the fire.
