Trumps Consider Public Golf Course for Former Virginia Estate

Property in Albemarle County includes the 45-room Albemarle House and 3,000 acres

A onetime socialite's former estate in rural Virginia could become the site of an 18-hole golf course.

Real estate mogul and reality TV figure Donald Trump bought Patricia Kluge's estate in September 2012. The property in Albemarle County includes the 45-room Albemarle House and 3,000 acres.

Trump's son, Eric Trump, tells The Daily Progress that the proposed golf course is still in the preliminary stages. If they decide to proceed, he says they would like to make it a public course.

He also says he would like Albemarle House to be featured as a signature element if the golf course is built.
