OPRAH TO ANNOUNCE SHOW'S OVER
Oprah Winfrey's iconic television talk show will end in 2011 after 25 seasons on the air, her production company said Thursday.
Winfrey plans to announce the final date for "The Oprah Winfrey Show" on a live Friday broadcast, according to Chicago-based Harpo Productions Inc.
Winfrey started her broadcasting career in Nashville, Tenn., and Baltimore, Md., before relocating to Chicago in 1984 to host WLS-TV's morning talk show "A.M. Chicago." That show was renamed "The Oprah Winfrey Show" in 1985. (Huff Post)

WOMAN LEAVES $40K AT MD SHRINE FOR SAFEKEEPING
A woman quietly left $40,000 worth of rare U.S. coins near a Catholic shrine for safekeeping so the Virgin Mary could watch over her life savings while she was out of town, and apparently it worked: The money was returned to her when she got back a week later.

COP TASES 10-YEAR-OLD GIRL, MOTHER ASKED FOR IT
An Arkansas cop tasered an unruly 10-year-old girl after her mother called police to report that the child was crying, screaming, and refusing to go to bed. The tased girl, Kiara Medlock, is about 65 pounds and 4' 6", according to her father. Anthony Medlock, a truck driver who does not live with the fifth grader and her mother, provided TSG with a recent photo of his daughter, which can be seen at right. According to the below Ozark Police Department report, when Officer Dustin Bradshaw arrived at the residence last Thursday, he found the girl "screaming, kicking, and resisting every time her mother tried to touch her." Bradshaw added that, "Her mother told me to tase her if I needed to." (The Smoking Gun)
