Police spent two days searching for the body of Shaquita Bell this week, but they did not find it.
For years police have believed she was buried in a wooded area of Fort Washington. Previous searches there have failed to find any sign of the grave of the 23-year-old woman.
Bell was murdered in 1996 by her ex-boyfriend Michael Dickerson. Dickerson was afraid she would tell the police about a murder he had committed, according to court documents.
Dickerson agreed to plead guilty last week and to show investigators where he buried Bell's body. He pointed out a spot in the woods but so far, Bell's remains have not been found.
