SafeTrack Keeping You Home? Work From the Library, Montgomery County Suggests

Montgomery County Public Libraries offer telecommuting recourses for commuters stranded by SafeTrack.

If you use the Red Line to commute to work, you might want to make other plans for the next month.

Surge 10 of Metro's SafeTrack repair plan will cause delays on the entire Red Line Oct. 29 through Nov. 22. For some commuters, it may be easier to simply work remotely, rather than battle delays that could be up to an hour long.

For those looking for a quiet workspace, Montgomery County Public Libraries will be offering telecommuting resources for card holders.

Resources include wifi, public computers, collaboration rooms, quiet study rooms, printers, photocopiers and secure charging stations for mobile devices, library officials said Tuesday.

Laptops are also available at the Kensington Park, Long Branch, Silver Spring and Twinbrook branches.

Large meeting rooms will be available to rent from Community Use of Public Facilities at an hourly rate; you can make an online reservation or call 240-777-0311.
