Police in Vienna, Va., are warning drivers about a possible red-light camera scam.
Someone is reportedly calling people, telling them they were ticketed by a red-light camera.
The suspects threaten to put out an arrest warrant unless the victim pays their ticket over the phone with a credit card.
Police said Vienna does not use red-light cameras.
Police said they will never ask for personal information over the phone.
Police are reminding people to always request that a caller send the information by mail or hang up and contact police yourself. They can then verify the authenticity of a request for personal information.
