A North Carolina woman is accused of stealing more than $4,000 from five men by posing as the landlady of a Maryland property she was being evicted from.
According to charging documents obtained by The Frederick News-Post, Deborah Lynn Kingsley, 49, posted photos on Craigslist of the home she had not paid rent on for months.
Authorities say Kingsley told would-be renters she was the property owner and landlady in order to take about $4,300 in rent and security deposits from five people over the course of two months last year.
A warrant for Kingsley's arrest was served Monday. She faces multiple theft charges.
It's not clear whether she has an attorney.
