A Silver Line train struck a man near Capitol Heights, Maryland, Metro says.
The man was struck at Addison Road about 9 a.m., Metro announced on Twitter.
A spokesperson for Metro said the man intentionally put himself in front of the train.
The spokesperson did not detail the man's condition. Metro police said the man was taken to a hospital.
Silver Line trains were single tracking, but regular service has resumed.
