A multiple-vehicle crash in Culpeper County has left one person dead and two others injured.
According to police, a passenger vehicle and tractor-trailer were stopped at a red light in the northbound lanes of Route 29 at Atlanthus Road when a second tractor-trailer collided with the first.
The force of the collision pushed the passenger vehicle into the center of the road. The two trucks caught fire.
Police are not saying which injuries were associated with which vehicles at this time, but do confirm one person was killed in the accident and two others were transported to area hospitals.
VDOT and the Culpeper Sheriff's office detoured traffic in the area.
