Residents of a northwest Washington neighborhood are expressing their concerns after a shooting was reported in the same area where a man was killed just days earlier.
Algernon Jones, 32, was fatally shot Saturday in the 100 block of Q Street NW. Seven other people were injured in the shooting.
Investigators believe a crashed car they found nearby near the intersection of Forida Avenue NW and North Capitol Street NW may have been used as a getaway car.
On Monday, police arrested two people after more than 20 shots were fired in the same area about 5 p.m. No one was injured in the gunfire.
There have been no arrests in the fatal shooting case.
