The United thought they had a deal for a new stadium in Prince George's County. But Tuesday night those dreams of luxury boxes and a swanky locker room in Maryland likely died.
Why? Because the Prince George's County Council voted 8-0 against legislation that would allow a state-led study to evaluate the proposed D.C. United stadium.
D.C. United representative Doug Hicks said the team would "continue conversations with other jurisdictions regarding a future home for D.C. United."
