An infant has died a few days after a crash in Glenarden, Maryland, police say.
On Thursday, March 2, a car driving on Landover Road was trying to turn onto Interstate 495 when it was struck by a second car driving in the opposite direction. The two cars crashed in the 9200 block of Landover Rd. about 9:35 p.m., Prince George's County police said.
A 9-week-old baby girl was taken to a hospital with injuries and she died two days later, according to police. She was in a car seat at the time of the crash.
The person driving the car with the infant had non-life threatening injuries and has been released from the hospital.
Police said the second car involved had three people inside. The driver refused to be taken to the hospital and two passengers suffered non-life threatening injuries.
