A former Prince William County school employee pleaded guilty Monday to 22 counts of sexually abusing children.
Steffon Christian was a kindergarten aide and library assistant at Baldwin Elementary School in Manassas, Va.
He was arrested in November after a now-adult victim following the Jerry Sandusky scandal at Penn State said he was sexually assaulted by Christian. After that, several more victims stepped forward, and police began an investigation that went back three decades.
Christian had worked at the school almost 20 years but hadn't worked there since 1999.
The 48-year-old admitted molesting at least seven boys. As part of the plea bargain, 45 of the original 67 charges were dropped, The News and Messenger reported.
Christian will be sentenced Sept. 27.
