Georgetown Students Robbed at Gunpoint

Three burglars still at large

D.C. police are investigating a violent home invasion and burglary that targeted Georgetown University students.

The break-in happened early Saturday morning on the 3500 block of S Street Northwest. Police say three armed men knocked on the door and then forced their way into the home, demanding money. They then beat and tied up two additional students at the residence, and forced the first student to lead them around the home at gun point.

The men took at least one laptop computer and several cell phones before fleeing.

All three of the men who broke in are described as black males between the ages of 18 and 24. All are also described as being between 6 foot and 6 foot 4, and between 150 and 170 pounds. All were wearing either a black jacket or shirt and black pants.

The Hoya reports that this is the fourth robbery or burglary to occur in West Georgetown or Burleith areas in the past three weeks.
