A funeral is set this week for a Virginia state trooper killed in a traffic accident in King George County.
Services for 28-year-old Trooper Adam M. Bowen will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Washington and Lee High School in Montross. Burial will follow in Warsaw.
Bowen graduated in July 2008 from the Virginia State Police Academy. The Warsaw native was to be married next month.
Authorities said the trooper was responding to a call for assistance Friday night when his patrol car collided with another car. The impact forced the patrol car to run off the road and strike a traffic pole.
The trooper died on the scene. The driver and passenger of the other car suffered minor injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
