The Clifton, Va. man accused of sexually assaulted a 9-year-old boy during a church-sanctioned trip over three years ago will enter a plea deal in September, his lawyer told News4.
Police arrested Thomas H. Clement and charged him with two counts of felony aggravated sexual battery of a minor back in May. Clement appeared in court Thursday and waived his right to a preliminary hearing.
The victim told police the alleged sexual assault took place during a youth group overnight camping trip at Burke Lake Park in Fairfax County in October 2009. The youth group was from a church in Fairfax County.
Clement, a former principal at Bull Run Elementary School in Fairfax County, also served as a teacher within the system prior to his retirement.
