A San Francisco-bound plane made an emergency landing without incident at Dulles International Airport Monday evening.
According to United Airlines, flight 1564 had originated at Dulles but had experienced a "mechanical issue," possibly a blown rear tire. The pilots immediately turned back around and landed the Boeing 757 plane safely without incident.
No injuries were reported, but hydraulic fluid may have leaked onto the runway.
"Our maintenance team is currently inspecting the aircraft, and we will accommodate passengers to San Francisco later this evening,” a United official said.
