D.C. Police have found a family member of a missing child found in Southeast D.C. called Jane Doe.
Police announced a family member claimed the child several hours after she was found on the 4700 block of Benning Road Southeast about 12:40 p.m. Saturday, police say.
It's unclear how old she is and what her real name is. Police released a photo Saturday afternoon in an effort to find her caregivers.
Jane Doe is a black female, between 4 feet and 4 feet 5 inches tall. She weighs 50 to 60 pounds. Her hair is braided and she has brown eyes. She was found wearing black pajama pants with gray designs, a blue pajama shirt and brown boots.
Police said she may need medication.
