The Loudoun County Sheriff's department is investigating what is being called a murder-suicide in Sterling on Tuesday.
Officials received a 911 call reporting gunshots at 6 a.m. Deputies were sent to a home on South Birch Street in the Sterling Park area.
On the scene, deputies discovered two bodies. According to the Sheriff's Office, evidence at the scene indicates that a man killed his wife inside the home, and then killed himself in the house's detached garage.
The deceased have been identified as 61-year-old Mercedes K. Perry, and 64-year-old Larry E. Perry.
