A man in Northwest DC died late Friday night after sustaining an injury from setting off a firework, police say.
Police responded to a call on the 800 block of Jefferson Street NW for an injured man. Once they arrived police found a man unconscious with severe trauma to the body.
He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police determined, after an investigation, that the man sustained the injuries from igniting fireworks.
