A cyclist sustained serious life-threatening injuries in an accident with a Montgomery County school bus Wednesday.
The crash happened between Darnestown and Berryville, Md. The cyclist, an adult male, has been transported to a local trauma center.
No other injuries have been reported.
The bus -- which was carrying students home from Poolesville High School -- came to a stop on the wrong side of the road. Skidmarks were visible crossing the double yellow line. The front left side of the bus' windshield was cracked.
The students were transferred to another bus.
A Montgomery County accident reconstruction team were on the scene investigating.
