Emergency crews are working to rescue a dog that became stranded on the side of a cliff in Lusby, Maryland, the Calvert Sheriff's Office says.
A hiker was walking in the area of Driftwood Beach Sunday when he saw a dog down a cliff. When he returned on Christmas Eve, he saw the same dog was still there.
Realizing the dog was trapped, the man called for help.
Crews are now on the scene performing a technical rope rescue.
No further information has been released.
