Events throughout the D.C. area are getting students ready to school with free supplies, information and even vaccines.

About: This party is aimed at getting kids excited for school. It features cheerleaders, bands and sports teams. There will be exclusive offers from retailers and a $10 PREIT Malls’ Reward card for the first 50 people who RSVP.

About: This is one of the DMV’s most popular back-to-school fairs; last year’s fair saw thousands of attendees. There will be free school supplies and vaccines for children entering kindergarten, Grade 7, or repeating Grade 9.

About: Kids can enjoy a host of fun activities including bounce houses, crafts, prizes and more events. If you sign up on the Kidgits Club at the Mall Management Office before the event, you’ll also receive a goodie bag.

About: This festival, sponsored by DC Ward 8 City Council Democratic Nominee Trayvon White, will feature free school supplies and haircuts, book readings and health care trucks.

About: This event is for Pre-K through Grade 8 students at Indian Head Elementary and General Smallwood Middle School students. Participants can expect door prizes, loaded backpacks and free dinner and snacks.
