Two people are being treated at a Fairfax County hospital after a private ambulance slammed into a utility pole in front of the hospital Wednesday morning.
The ambulance and a car were involved in an accident in front of Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church about 5 a.m., Fairfax County police say. It's not clear what caused the collision.
One person who was being transported in the ambulance was taken back to the hospital. A second person was also taken to the hospital for treatment.
The northbound lanes of Gallows Road are closed at this time.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
