Woman, Man Shot in Virginia Walmart Parking Lot: Sheriff's Office

Police say all four suspects have been arrested

A woman and a man were shot and wounded during a confrontation in the parking lot of a Walmart in Fauquier County, Virginia, Tuesday, authorities say.

A spokesperson for the Fauquier County Sheriff's Office said the shooting happened about 5:15 p.m. at the Walmart at 700 James Madison Highway in Warrenton.

The man and woman were in a confrontation with someone while they were inside a car when the suspect shot them, the sheriff's office said. At least one suspect took off in a small white car, and the victims went to the nearby Home Depot parking lot on Alwington Boulevard to call 911.

Medics took the victims to a hospital. They both are expected to be OK.

As the investigation unfolded, deputies responded to a crash at the intersection of Ritchie Road and Elk Run Road in the Midland area. One of the vehicles involved, a white Acura, matched the description of the suspect's car.

The suspected shooter and three other people who were inside the Acura ran off after the crash, the sheriff's office said. Deputies apprehended two of them. On Wednesday morning, police said they had caught all four suspects involved.

Two juveniles and two men are facing two counts of malicious wounding, shooting into an occupied vehicle and use of a firearm during a felony.
