Two Virginia homeowners who say they were burned by a solar panel company got their money refunded after an NBC4 Responds report.

Tim Manning and Ryan Wagener reached out to NBC4 Responds a year after they signed contracts with Independent Solar Solutions.

Each paid thousands of dollars to the company but never got their solar panels.

News4 also learned of even more complaints against Independent Solar Solutions, its owner, Niko Eckhart, and his business partner, Michael Geaneas.

Manning since has received a full refund of more than $16,000, and Wagener was made whole with a refund of more than $17,000.

Geaneas said last week the company is no longer in business, but he is helping past clients with any factory warranties or service issues.
