A 30-year-old employee of a Virginia hospital has been charged in the rape of a patient last January.
Officials say a 37-year-old woman, a patient of Arlington's Virginia Hospital Center at the time, told police she was raped during the early morning hours of Jan. 13.
Roy Anthony Jones, a CT scan technician at the hospital, has been charged with the rape. Jones, from Washington D.C., is behind bars at Arlington County Detention Facility without bond.
According to hospital officials, Jones was initially placed on administrative leave and later fired.
Jones has a criminal past in the county, with misdemeanor charges ranging from marijuana possession to not showing up for a court hearing.
