So you’re finally used to the latest 14th Street Bridge traffic pattern, huh? We’ve got some bad news for you: that pattern is about to change -- again!
The new configuration will greet you for Monday morning’s commute. That’s when the 14th Street Bridge Rehabilitation Project enters Phase 4. You’ll have a shorter distance to merge (about 1/8 of a mile). Three lanes to the right will be in operation; one lane will be used to the left.
DDOT crews will spend this weekend preparing the bridge for the shift. That will require a second center lane to be closed, starting at 10 p.m. Friday. Just three lanes of traffic will be in service until Monday morning, when the fourth lane will open.
