    Police are looking for the person responsible for shooting a 16-year-old boy in the District.

    The shooting happened just after one this morning near 37th Street and Riggs Road in Southeast D.C.

    Police say the victim was shot in the stomach.

    He was taken to Howard University Hospital in serious but stable condition.

    Police have not released a motive or suspect description in this case.
