A morning filled with accidents on the Inner and Outer loops made a mess of traffic on the Beltway Wednesday morning
Two accidents on the Outer Loop between Connecticut and Route 355 left one lane open on the left this morning. That was in addition to slowing on the Inner Loop due to a car fire earlier and another accident on the Outer Loop.
Some delays lasted well past 9 a.m., and at one point traffic backed up for 16 miles.
