Police Search for Dog After Playground Bite

Victim may need rabies shots

Police in Falls Church, Va. are looking for a dog that bit an adult on the playground of Thomas Jefferson Elementary School Friday. If the dog is not found, the victim might have to get a series of rabies shots.

Falls Church police say two men let the dog off its leash on the playground between 4:00 and 4:30 p.m. Friday. It bit the victim on the leg.

Police describe the dog as similar to a Pit Bull, medium-sized and mostly white with short hair. The two men with the dog left the playground after the incident, and did not offer any help to the victim.
