Police Seek Suspect in Two Loudoun Robberies

Police look for a robber who assaulted two women last week.

Detectives with the Loudoun County Sheriff's Department released a composite sketch Thursday of a man they say may be responsible for two robberies reported on May 31 in Sterling, Va.

Officials say the robber sexually assaulted a 52-year-old Ashburn woman. The suspect knocked on the woman's car door, showed a weapon and demanded money. He then told the woman to get out of her car and told her to remove her pants.

Earlier that day, police said, the suspect approached a 62-year-old-woman and tried to grab her purse. After a brief struggle, the man struck the woman with a blunt object and fled with her purse.

Both women were sent to the hospital and were treated for minor injuries.

The suspect is described as 5'10'' and was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his face and sunglasses.

Anyone with information about the robber's identity should call 703-777-0475.
