A D.C. police officer is in serious condition after she was hit by a car along Eastern Avenue in Northeast D.C.
Police say the officer was on duty when she was hit near 61st Street NE around 1 a.m. Tuesday.
She was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Police say the driver remained at the scene.
No further details surrounding the accident have been released. There's no word on whether that driver will be charged.
