Man Accused of Trying to Ram Officer With SUV at Festival

Police say a man driving a rented sport utility vehicle tried to ram an officer at an outdoor festival in Occoquan, Virginia.

Prince William County Police are searching for the driver, and they say it's possible that the vehicle was involved in an unrelated hit-and-run.

Police say the driver was going through an area that had been blocked of by cones Saturday afternoon at the Occoquan Arts and Crafts Show. A police sergeant walked in front of the vehicle, and police say the driver accelerated forward. The sergeant got out of the way and wasn't hurt.

The man drove away, and police say they got reports about the same vehicle being driven recklessly nearby. They found it abandoned and unoccupied. The driver hasn't been identified.
