Police are investigating an early morning car fire that was sparked during a single car accident.

Police say they received a call for the accident around midnight on the 2900 block of Naylor Road in Southeast.

When they arrived, they found a car engulfed in flames. Investigators say the fire started when the driver lost control of the car and slammed into another parked vehicle.

Police said the driver of the car died on the scene. No one else was injured in the crash.
