Off-Duty D.C. Police Officer Shot in Michigan

An off-duty police officer from Washington, D.C. was shot during an attempted carjacking in Dearborn, Michigan Monday morning. 

The shooting happened in the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Miller Road in Dearborn at about 2 a.m. NBC affiliate WDIV says the officer and another man were outside a gentlemen's club at the time of the shooting.  

Both men were injured in the shooting and drove to a nearby police station for help. The officer was a passenger in the car. Both victims are expected to be OK. 

No arrests have been made.
