A man is wanted for burglarizing 28 Subway sandwich shops in the D.C. metro area since November.
The latest burglary was reported around 2 a.m. Monday morning in Springfield -- a glass door was shattered for entry.
A Subway in Burtonsville, Md. was burglarized twice and the store's front door was also shattered. All the incidents have occurred overnight, and the suspect has gotten away with the store's cash drawer. He has also rummaged through financial ledgers looking for cash.
"Sounds like somebody who has a grudge," a Subway customer told News4.
In the Burtonsville incident, the suspect stole the surveillance video and in Monday's case, he tried to destroy it.
"We're pretty sure that someone has seen something, maybe something out of place, a little bit out of the ordinary," Lucy Caldwell with Fairfax County Police said.
