Woman Pulled From Potomac Dies

A woman pulled out of the Potomac River Friday has been identified as 53-year-old Karjia Jiang.

Jiang was pulled out in life-threatening condition and died, Montgomery County Police said.

In a release, police said Jiang was visiting from China and staying with relatives in the 9100 block of Sterling Montague Drive in Great Falls. Jiang told her family that she was taking a walk in Great Falls National Park. It is unclear how or where Jiang entered the water, detectives said, but no foul play is suspected.
