RICHMOND, Va. -- It's the last day for Virginia Democrats to register to vote in the gubernatorial primary, and not many of them seem to care.
Only a fraction of Virginia's 5 million voters are expected to cast a ballot in the June 9 primary, the Free Lance-Star reported.
State Sen. Creigh Deeds, businessman and former national party chair Terry McAuliffe, and ex-state Delegate Brian Moran are vying for the party's nomination to succeed Democratic Tim Kaine.
But the important thing for Democrats is that the unemployed-hating, northern-Virginia-ridiculing, gun-loving, anti-federal-stimulus GOP candidate Bob McDonnell is crushed in November.
By who? It doesn't really matter.
