Heroic Officers Honored for Fire Rescue

Officers pulled two children, elderly man from burning home

Prince George's County police officers and sheriff's deputies were honored Monday for helping rescue a family from a burning home.

The officers and deputies were the first to arrive at the fire on Hil Mar Drive in Forestville, Md., Feb. 4. They rescued two children and an elderly man in a wheelchair.

The officers and deputies were awarded certificates and letters of commendation.
