A former Girl Scout leader is under arrest on numerous felony counts of child pornography and indecent liberties with a child while in a custodial role.
Chad Leroy Miller, 47, of Spotsylvania, was a Girl Scout leader and family friend of the 14-year-old female victim. Miller is also being reported as a person of interest in a similar investigation in Fairfax, Virginia.
According to the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Department, Miller allegedly sent the victim a link to a pornographic website and made inappropriate contact with the child.
An investigation of Miller’s residence by detectives and investigators from Child Protective Services provided several items of evidence that corroborated initial investigative findings. Several hundred pornographic images involving children were found on the cell phones and computers collected at Miller’s home.
