Some late-night and overnight drivers may want to avoid parts of the Tysons Corner area because of road closures for the Metrorail to Dulles project.
The ramp from northbound I-495 to southbound Route 123 will be closed from 9:30 p.m. until 5 a.m. Wednesday.
Traffic will be detoured onto northbound Route 123 instead, then sent right on Old Meadow Road , left on Colshire Meadow Drive, left of Colshire Drive, then left onto southbound Route 123.
To accommodate the work, the right lane of southbound Route 123 will be closed from Capital One Drive to the east side of I-495.
The main entrance to Capital One Drive will also be closed, and eastbound Tysons Boulevard will be closed between Galleria Drive and Route 123. This will require closing turn lanes from both directions of Galleria Drive, and from northbound Route 123 as well as through-traffic from eastbound Tysons Boulevard.
Police will be on site to direct traffic and detour signs will be posted to help drivers.
